Terms and Conditions for driving instruction given:

It is agreed that:-

1. The Instructor shall make his services available to the Pupil for the sole purpose of giving the Pupil driving (including theory) tuition at the rate per lesson agreed.
   
   
2. The lesson fee shall be paid at the beginning of each lesson. If a block booking is made for a number of lessons then full payment is required at the beginning of the first lesson.
   Payment will be accepted by cash or cheque, please make cheques payable to Jonathan Cox.  Cheques must be accompanied by a valid banker’s card.
   
   
3. The Instructor shall have the right to substitute another Instructor for the purposes of giving all or any of the lessons if the Instructor is not available for any reason whatsoever.
   
   
4. In the event of a mechanical breakdown, sickness or other cause, the Instructor reserves the right to rearrange the lesson to a time convenient to both the Instructor and the pupil.
   
   
5. The Instructor will carry motor insurance covering the Pupil whilst driving the tuition vehicle when accompanied by the Instructor or by a Driving Standards Agency Examiner
   
   
6. The Pupil must produce a valid licence prior to any instruction taking place.
   
   
7. If the Pupil fails to give the Instructor a minimum of 24 hours notice cancelling any lesson, the Pupil shall be liable for the lesson fee in respect of that lesson.
   
   
8. If, upon arrival for an appointment, the Instructor deems that the Pupil is unfit to undertake that lesson, then the Instructor has the right to cancel that appointment and the Pupil will be liable for payment of the lesson. Abusive, threatening or inappropriate behaviour whilst a lesson is being conducted will not be tolerated. The lesson will be terminated at once and no refund will be given to the pupil.
   
   
9. The instructor reserves the right to refuse the use of the training car for the Driving Test, if the instructor considers that the pupil has not reached a sufficient standard of competence to take full responsibility for the safety of that vehicle and other road users.
   
   
10. If for whatever reason the pupil is dissatisfied with the level of tuition being given then this must be pointed out to the instructor by the pupil as soon as possible
    
    
11. Issuing of Gift Vouchers.  Gift vouchers are only valid for the person named and not transferable.  Lessons must be booked within the time limit stated on the voucher.  Should the voucher have expired and no lessons booked – no refund will be given.
    Gift Vouchers are not refundable and are subject to the above terms and conditions.
