Rossendale Driving School, Drives Right gives a brief outline of what your practical driving test will entail.
The Practical Driving Test
The test will include an eyesight test. You will be required to read a number plate from a distance of 20.5 meters (67 feet).
You will then be asked two vehicle safety check questions. One ‘Show Me’ and one ‘Tell Me’. To see the types of questions you will be asked please click here.
The driving test will last approximately 40 minutes. You will be examined on your general driving and on any two of the reversing exercises. You may also be asked to carry out an emergency stop exercise
You can make up to 15 minor driving faults, any more, or a serious or dangerous fault will result in failure of the test.
The examiner will be assessing your safe driving of the vehicle and your knowledge and demonstration of the Highway Code.
